We specialize in flawlessly executed days - managing the who, what, where, and how is our specialty. Our goal is to create a perfect wedding day and season of wedding planning from the moment you inquire to when you make your final exit at the reception.

After you reach out to us through the website, email, give us a ring, or book a consultation through our online calendar, we always touch base with you  over phone to  learn a little bit more about your day.

We always ask for your budget, guest count, and venue - estimates are fine!

 This helps us determine your needs and how we can help. Then, we get to know you. Our favorite question to ask is what you like about your relationship!

After that, we chat about needs and about your wedding day - getting to know what you want your wedding day to be like .

Before you leave, we talk you through our next steps and schedule a future phone call to chat about the proposal.

Let's start at the beginning

We start with a phone call

After our initial consultation, we always do a play-by-play of what we talked about. We send it off to you and ask you for your input. This helps us get feedback as we customize your proposal. We're human too!

Next, we follow up

Our next step after we follow up is to send over a proposal. We customize it entirely to you, but there are a few key things, such as the fact that we will never staff a wedding without an assistant.

The proposal lays out everything - it has our contract, services, payment schedule, and it is an online platform that you can easily sign and make safe, secure payments on. We can also take a check or you can pay through us if we're in person!

Your proposal is live for 7 days and the date is held until then.

Then comes the proposal

Once the contract is signed (we sign it too!) and the first payment is made, we're ready to get started with you as our client!

Once we're ready to get started, we welcome you to the Happy to Be Events Bride Tribe with an introductory email talking about our next steps!

One of the perks of being a Happy to Be bride is that you get to be on the wedding planning software for as long as you need to be on there. Once you're all booked, we work to get you on there as soon as possible so you can explore.

Then, we get you on the planning software

At Happy to Be, we are big fans of having open an honest communication regarding just about everything - but especially the budget. Because of this, we have you take what's got to be one of the most accurate quizzes we've seen as far as wedding budget quizzes go. You'll send it/print it/bring it to the initial inquiry meeting, and we discuss it line by line to preset expectations, because, let's face it: weddings are expensive. We also ask that you complete a questionnaire so that we can get to know your day and start the brains working.

Next, we have you take a budget quiz and questionnaire

The itinerary of this meeting is simple: we go over your quiz results and questionnaire answers, then we talk about your specific project and get started. You can learn more about those, below!

Finally, we meet

Our full service planning is guided help from start to finish, with curated vendor recommendations, guided timelines and checklists, and a team of experts to help you with your day.

Full wedding planning

- Unlimited access to your lead planner available via phone call or email throughout the entirety of the planning process, during business hours.

- Customized organized planning process that tackles your wedding tasks with a coordinated checklist and milestone meetings to keep you on track.

- A professional office of planners ready to work with you to plan your perfect day, always following up, keeping track, staying on course.

- An expert asking the right questions through questionnaires and worksheets to bring out the best possible ideas and suggestions for personalizing your wedding day.

- Assistance in recommendation and selection of vendors for both creative and capstone vendors with recommendations of 2-3 vendors for each category.

- Arranging and accompaniment to vendor appointments with the selected vendor in each category, as well as contract review and negotiation. 

- Communication with your vendors throughout the planning process - with follow-ups, detail tracking, and accountability holding (within normal industry practices).

- Venue walk-through, layout design, and finalization to cover the timeline creation, rain plan, and all the details. All key vendors are required to attend or schedule a phone call briefing prior. Vendor email follow up and review.

- A coordinator leading the rehearsal and prepping you for your big day.

- Up to 1 Lead Coordinator and 2 Assistant Coordinators on the wedding day. 

Our partial service planning is guided help where you need it most, providing recommendations for your vendor team, design elements or logistical elements, a guided checklist, and a team of experts to help you with your day.

Partial Planning

- Unlimited access to your lead planner available via phone call or email throughout the chosen section of the planning process, during business hours.

- Bi-weekly check in emails and monthly phone calls during the part of the planning process where you’re securing your own vendors.

- Customized organized planning process that tackles your wedding tasks with a coordinated checklist and milestone meetings to keep you on track.

- A professional office of planners ready to work with you to plan your perfect day, always following up, keeping track, staying on course.

- An expert asking the right questions through questionnaires and worksheets to bring out the best possible ideas and suggestions for personalizing your wedding day.

- Assistance in recommendation and selection of vendors for either creative and capstone vendors with recommendations of 2-3 vendors for each category.

Event Coordination

Constant contact to help with event preparation:

- Initial Consultation Meeting to go over the vision, expectations, timeline, and the planning process.

- Monthly Email Check-ins

- 2 30-minute phone calls during the planning process to check in and see how the checklist is going

6-8 weeks before the wedding:

- Pre-wedding worksheets filled out and initial timeline draft sent to vendors

- Final venue walkthrough to discuss layout, timeline, and details


5-3 weeks before the wedding:

- Final vendor reconciliation to ensure that all vendors are on the same page.

- Final in person meeting to discuss any changes and finalize all details.

1-2 weeks before the wedding

- Provide final timeline and layout to all wedding vendors

- Provide wedding weekend itinerary and introduction email to wedding party and family members

Finally, we combine your hard-work using our D-I-T (do-it-together) guidance and our experienced staff for event day execution so you can relax and enjoy your wedding.

- Our lead planners and coordinators limit the amount of weddings they take on to 20 clients a year. That way, they can have time to focus on their client's leads and be on hand to handle any bumps that arise.

- Our lead planners take on less to have time to continue their education through workshops and seminars, attending conventions and taking online courses in an effort to stay on top of their game, providing the very best service to you, our brides and grooms.

- Our planners take the time to work with you, focus on you, take that extra phone call with you, exceeding expectations at every turn.

Communication & Education

- We're willing to bet that you're new to this field of venues, photographers, caterers, and dresses...and it's probably a bit confusing, frustrating - the whole nine yards. We're here to educate, explain, and guide you along the way.

- Between talking to the caterer about the perfect time to set up according to the expectations of the venue, who also needs to know what the DJ will be bringing, who needs to know how long the walk down the aisle will be to time the music just right...we've heard it all, and we're here to communicate and chat with the right people to make sure your day goes smoothly.

- We're here to make executive decisions on your wedding day...so we don't have to bug you.

We can't wait to meet with you! Because we are so busy making beautiful days on weekends, we have set office hours on Tuesday to Thursday from 9 to 5 pm. We're happy to meet you outside of those hours, and at the location you desire, though - just ask!
